Unfortunately they can change the channels on offer at any time and is in the small print of their T&C's. They just have to give 30 days notice.
I agree though, as previously got got up in the UKTV debacle, that Mr David Bouchier from VM at the time appeared to "bully" the broadcaster into providing content for a much cheaper price for VM, but not to the end customer including wanting more on demand content. VM public responses named him in various statements, but VM backed down in the end and channels returned as customers were fuming and quit as soon as they could if a price increase (as an excuse and a time when exit without penalty was a real thing) or at end of contract.
But the T&C's also states in B2.2 where possible an "alternative similar" channel will be offered and if none was available customers could get a discount or leave penalty free.

HI HavencroftKev,
With TNT this was a change made by the owner of the channel, this was part of our Maxit TV package before the change when it was BT Sports however it did remain on the package as TNT for a little while until removed and made as an add on which is now an add on for all TV tiers.
This not being part of the package does not give the option to leave if in contract, all packages are subject to change.
Regards
Paul.

With all due respect Paul, when people took out their Maxit package TNT sports was part of that package.

This was prior to the change, as advised this is no longer available as part of any packages and is sepreate.
