O2 price unfair increase

Hi, as VM volt customer, I had a letter about the O2 £2.50 price increase, a couple of points I would like answered.

Do you lose the Volt benefits? I say benefits, but I think there is only one that affects me, M350 boosted M500. I don't know if that will make real difference when streaming something? I can get a cheaper Sim only from what I am paying now, so is the slightly faster speed worthwhile anyway?

Why do you only you 30 days from date on the letter to cancel, shouldn't be from increase date?.

Also in the six or so months I had the O2 deal (been a VM customer for many years), I haven't able to log on to my O2. I have contacted O2 a few times on this they say they are working on the problem!

Please help

I would advise to read the T&C's as this is covered and advisors at VM may tell you a different story.

The T&C's vary in conditions depending on when you took your contract minimum term out. See here for broadband terms, with Annex A having Volt terms:

Historically, customers have kept their speed boost until contract renewal, but VM tightened this up from 2024 contracts onwards.

  • Hi Burtiebag 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us, sorry to hear of the issues that you are facing with you Volt bundle. Should you choose to cancel your O2 sim you would lose your Volt benefits on your media package as well as the discounts, we can bring you in for a private message and take a look at your package and see what options you have. Please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

    Thanks.
