What is actually the point of VM's service status page?

Internet keeps going out so I go to check the service status... Loads for a bit and decides it can't connect to my hub, seems a little obvious to me that it won't be able to connect to the hub if there's no internet, also can't do the test from the my VM app without internet so have to do the test on data... Which again it can't connect to the hub. Doesn't tell me if there's any issues in the area at all just that it can't connect to my Hub. What's the point, not going to be checking it if the internet is up and running.

The online checker looks generally shown know problems affecting a wide area but you can also run a test on your equipment from there.

If nothing is showing, or you can't get it to work then you could also try the automated Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.
