I left O2 in the dust as was completely useless in 99% of areas in East England and Southern England including London. Overloaded cells and slow data rates. Was with them for a few years whilst a VOLT customer.
Switched to 1pmobile which is EE, all frequency bands, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Roaming, Tethering and its a rolling 30 day contract and you can top up with extra data easily if you need it only for a month. Speeds been mostly superb - like 2-8mbps on O2 vs 200mbps+ on 1p (EE). Sure, there is the odd cell that is 8mbps, but overall 25GB for £10/month on EE isn't bad and they use EE's systems not their own. Only been one issue since I joined, and they automatically credited 5 days extra. They do pay as you go too with stuff like "1p per MB, 1p per text, 1p per minute" and a pre-pay Pay-as-u-go for £48/year (unlimited minutes and text and 500mb data per month for a year) or £60 but with uplift of 1GB data per month for the year, and they been around some years now.
Since switching, I can actually enjoy using a mobile outside of home WiFi again!
Sounds a good deal, did you use switching service?
