Hi i have been with virgin for many years now as they are the only provider that could give me fibre broadband straight into my home. The other providers just wanted to boost the wifi signal to up my speeds from the junction boxes out in my street. I choose the Gig1 package on my last broadband, telephone and tv deal for an 18 month contract and i got the hub4 ali g with 2 tv boxes and wifi pods. All was great until about 4-5 months ago or possibly more when the upgrade for the new hub 5 x came out and my ability to use the virgin media connect app stopped. I have tried every troubleshooting ideas and reboots etc with no luck and i have continuously asked for help online and via the whatsapp chat. The connect app keeps saying it can't find my hub4 and i am no linger able to control my homes broadband and wifi usage as i had been before. My entire household is filled with devices that are broadband and wifi reliant as are most homes today but i cant control them like i should be able to. I have just renewed my contract fir another 18 months and i was hoping to get the new hub5 x as per the ads ive read which state as a gig1 or gig2 customer etc you are entitled to this new hub5 x with the best wifi etc. I would like to know how i het mine then as i keep being passed from department to department in the chat and get nowhere.
