The Ashes
It has been a tough Ashes series down under for England so far this winter. The visitors have lost the opening two tests which leaves a first series win in Australia since 2011 looking a tall order. But, every amazing comeback has to start somewhere and England will be hoping Melbourne is that location. The third test begins, as is Australian tradition, on Boxing Day at the infamous MCG stadium and runs through until 30th December. By that point we will know if England still have a chance of reclaiming the famous Ashes urn.
Ashes 3rd Test, 26th – 30th Dec, BT Sport (play starts at 11.30PM each evening)
World Darts Championship
The World Championship darts under the lights at the Alexandra Palace is up there with the most festive of traditions for many. And it is after Christmas that the drama usually moves up a level. Gerwyn Price is the current champion, but with so many up and coming stars making names for themselves throughout 2021, rarely has the sport been in better health. Will the Iceman defend his trophy? Will another rising star claim their maiden title? It will be thrilling entertainment as we find out.
