  • I only have one series link that is currently recording and noticed today that the next episode due to be shown on Monday 3 July on 5 USA is not scheduled to record, could it possibly be due to the upcoming channel change. I have a 360 box and will be checking again on Monday and probably have to set the series link again.

  • After having eventually memorised all the channel numbers that I watch, I now have to memorise them all over again!  What a faff.  It's very annoying.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it - is what I say!  ðŸ˜–

    Hi Parsloes,

Thanks for posting on our community forums. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the channel line-up change.

We fully understand the frustration caused, especially as you memorised the old channel line-up.

I'm sure we do it to keep our customers on their toes. We appreciate your feedback and hopefully, this stays this way for a little while.

    Kind regards Jodi.

    On our wavelength

There seems to be no logic to this new channel line up and it’s almost like Virgin have just used some random number generator and whatever it produces will do.

I understand the desire to tidy up the +1 channels and group them together but how it’s been done is baffling. Why move all the Discovery/Nat Geo section? Why spread the music channels over so they spread across 280 - 300 odd?. This could and should have been far better thought out than it has been.

The only positive I’ve seen is the addition  of Sky Sports UHD channels although it does strike me as being odd the fact that a so-called tech leading company feels it necessary to charge customers extra for viewing HD and UHD channels. It’s 2023 and it’s not like this is groundbreaking tech.

I do wish you’d find a way to integrate Discovery+, DAZN and AppleTV into the box though - how much more difficult can it be to add the app or integrate it o to the channel guide alongside Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Disney+?

  • Don't the providers bid and pay for positions on the EPG when they come up, only BBC 1and 2, ITV and 4 are protected.
