In light of the terrible events over the past week in the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico we have taken the following steps for our customers:
The Foreign Office Hotline (0207 008 0000) has been made free of charge.
Florida
Calls and texts to a landline in Florida, or a Florida mobile made from pay monthly mobile, fixed and business lines to Florida landlines between 00:00hrs (UK time) on 6 September to 23:59 (UK time) on 20 September will be free. Calls and texts already made in this time period will be re-credited.
This relates to the state of Florida.
Caribbean
Calls and texts made to a landline in the Caribbean or a Caribbean mobile from pay monthly mobile, fixed and business lines, or from a Virgin Mobile in the Carribean between 00:00hrs (UK time) on 6 September to 23:59 (UK time) on 20 September will be free. Calls and texts already made in this time period will be re-credited.
This relates to the Caribbean - which is defined as the list of countries provided by Gov.uk as affected:
- Anguilla
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Bahamas
- British Virgin Islands
- Cuba
- Dominica
- Dominican Republic
- Guadeloupe
- Haiti
- Martinique
- Montserrat
- St Eustatius and Saba
- St Lucia
- St Maarten
- St Vincent and the Grenadines
- Turks and Caicos Islands
Mexico
Calls and texts made to a landline in Mexico or a Mexican mobile and from pay monthly mobile, fixed and business lines, or from a Virgin Mobile in Mexico between 00:00hrs (UK time) on 6 September to 23:59 (UK time) on 13 September will be free. Calls and texts already made in this time period will be re-credited.
