Hello all,

Im new to this and not very clever with tech stuff.....Ive had my superhub since march and everything was going great till friday, Im now having to keep turning my hub on and off everytime I want to connect. My blackberry and son's Iphone is ok just the laptop and xbox.

Hi Tracy 71

You may be better off starting a new thread with this issue as this thread is 6 pages long and has become a bit of a discussion rather than a support topic. My advice initially would be log into the router internals and perform a reset to factory settings from within the user interface, we have seen issues where modems downloading the new firmware version have become somewhat "confused" and are doing some strange things. Factory settings restore seems to be fixing quite a lot of these issues.

I've tried this and so far my i-Phone and Windows laptop have both been much much better than before. Haven't lost connection and not been able to rejoin once since making the changes described.
One point: you will have to make sure your laptop is set to use the same wpa2-psk(aes)
encryption by setting it in the properties of the network connection or it may fail to connect.

On my Netgear Superhub I seem to have no option of changing the mode at all!

 

Update - Sorry misundersttod this. mine is already set on 144, so cannot use that option to improve poor signal in most of my house.

With the firmware update I'd have thought all this would have been sorted. Alas NO! Still needs TLC & daily restart.
Are VM activity doing anything to resolve these issues?
