Re: Superhub problems

Hi jing123,

Can you please confirm you have tried all the channels?

As its quite possible the channels you have tried are quite popular with others in your area and this may be why your facing a intermittent wireless fault.

Also can you please confirm you have no other electrical equipment by the suberhub as this can also interfere with your connection.

My superhub has been installed next to my desktop PC. By an engineer from Virginmedia!!!!! Don't you tell them how to install properly??? So I'll have to try and explain to India that I want ANOTHER engineer to come and move it. Here's hoping ceptic's solution works......

Re: Superhub problems

Hi annie2101

The engineer usually installs the cable modem to whatever place the customer wants it to be installed.

If you would like to let us know what issue you are having, we can see if we can help resolve it for you.

Kind Regards,

Re: Superhub problems

You sir, are officially The Man. Several hours of brain wrenching pain are now over and my broadband speed is now higher than it was before the whole disaster. Changing to channel 7 (as well as all the others steps) made the big difference. On any other channel I wasn't even able to join the network. Thank you.

Re: Superhub problems

Virgin are useless. My superhub keeps resetting itself to original factory settings. I have contacted Virgin INDIA 3 times and they keep sending me new superhubs but its not fixing the problem as after a few days the new one does it again. I call India again tonight and was promised a manager call back within 30 minutes but this failed to happen. I'm so angry and now want to leave VM

Re: Superhub problems

There seem to be so many problems with the superhub I am having serious doubts about getting one. I just have one desk top computer and don’t download music or films just a few software prgrams. I have been a Virgin customer for some years and never had any problems and don’t want to start now. Should I hold off for a while. My current speed is 20Mb

Re: Superhub problems when switching on

I always switch my superhub off at night but sometimes in the morning when I switch back on the three lights at the side don't stay on and I have to try several times before they 'stick' and stay on. Does anyone know why? Once it's on it's fine. I do need to switch it off at night so not an option to leave on 24/7! Thanks.

Re: Superhub problems

Hello carter364,

Could you try to disable the following in your SuperHub configuration and see if it still resets to factory settings?

  • Firewall Features
  • IP Flood Detection.

The only other advise I can give you is that we are aware of problems with the SupeHhub resetting itself, usually in combination with the Blizzard Downloader and with Multi Threaded Downloader Application

and are currently beta testing a new firmware update which should solve this Issue. Once this has been tested it will be rolled out to everyone.

Re: Superhub problems when switching on

Hello celoy,

The SuperHub needs a bit to connect back to the Network. This can take up to 15 minutes.

The SuperHub is designed to stay on and connected at all times so ideally you should leave it switched on all the times and only switch it off if you go for a holiday or something similar. Of course it can be switched off but it will then take a while to reboot and re establish a connection.
