Its becomming a common occurance that while me or my brothers or parents are on one of the computers (wireless) at some point during the day (on several occasions) the superhub will dissconnect, this could be during playing games such as starcraft 2, on skype, on facebook etc etc...
After the wireless has dissconneted we are unable to reconnect unless we switch it off at the plug and then back on..

doesnt seem to happen via ethernet, this problem doesnt just occur on 1 computer though, this problem occurs on
all 3 laptops

Changing the channel no. of the superhub will fix this:
1.go to Internet explorer, type in the top long address bar, http://192.168.0.1
2.Username & password: admin & changeme
3. click on Advanced underneath three options,
4.Click on wireless settings underneath Basic settings,
5.select channel 9 or 11 or 13 and Apply the settings.
Observe the conenction, if problem persists,
change the 802.11 Band as well from Upto 300mbps to Upto 145mbps

same problem has occured, what will happen when I change it from 300 to 145? will this lower the speed I get information wirelessly?

Changing the speed down to 145 will take the hub out of channel bonding mode. Channel bonding mode will only improve speed if the wireless clients support it. Turning the wireless mode to 145Mbps should provide more stability and will be less suceptable to wireless interference.

noticed a lot of people having problems with super hub disconnecting intermittently.
I had the same problem, called virgin, they told me how to change the frequency it was set to 1( you have to put in passwords etc so ask virgin, we changed it to 11 and it seems to be working fine now, you can also try 13 too if 11 doesn't make a difference. please see Kevins post for further details. Thought this may be useful.

Virgin superhub is useless. Same problem here, I have spent hours trying all sorts of settnigs with tech support from Virgin - wsaste of my time. The problem is with the superhub itself.
I notice it is often when I change webpages, on any computer, that the superhub blips and puts me off line. It also cannot stream video for long without crashing
