Super Hub R36 Wired connection = perfect, wireless connection = appauling

Hi, firstly I'd just like to say that before the R36 update I couldn't connect at all wirelessly. Now it's hit and miss. I can connect sometimes when the connection appears, but when I do connect it takes around 10 minutes to even connect to a web page.

The wired connection is amazingly fast and reliable.

I have another wireless router which I was using with the Super Hub and I could connect wirelessly with that, but my wired connection wasn't very reliable with that (Catch 22)

I'm on 2.4ghz and I've tried a number of channels, including auto. I've turned off the firewall filter settings and detection setting under the security page, but nothing seems to help. I can't even run inSSIDer from my wireless laptop to see which channel is the best because I can't get to the web page, so I've left it on auto.

Any help? I see this is a common problem.

I refuse to use the call centre as they have no idea what they are on about and are adamant on a remote connection, but I know all of my settings are as they should be as I've looked at the FAQs and other posts.

if your on windows vista/7 you can find the wifi channels by doing
start type in cmd press enter and type in netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid
this will show signal/wireless channel etc.. or if you want details about your wireless card
if you do netsh wlan show all

Hi bobbins66,

Sorry to hear about your poor wireless connection.

You can download and install inSSIDer via a wired connection. Then simply just run it to check which channel / mode / frequency, suits your environment the best.
