For the last few weeks I have read no end of different forums for help to get my Minecraft server working.
I have port forwarded, applied a port trigger, made a firewall exception and turned the router on and off. When I go on a website to test the connection for port 25565 on http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ it tells me that the port is closed.
Also my router is a Superhub Netgear.
Is there anything that I have missed here? I have included a few screenshots below:

Hi, this doesn't answer my question as I have already mentioned that I have port forwarded. If you view the screenshots you can see that I have done this.

i don't think you need this http://postimage.org/image/4wk2uhebl/ + it is recommended
To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address.

i have the new superhub and when i run the minecraft server it gives me the error message:
[WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
[WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind
[WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
im stumped any tips?

That is a Java error meaning it thinks another instance of java is running
Go start | All Programs | Accessories | Right click Command Prompt | Run As Administrator | Press Yes when asked for elevation
Now type: taskkill /f /im java.exe
This assumes you are on a PC Server. On Linux run killall -9 java
After pressing enter it will kill all running instances of Java. Then try running the server again. If a server crashes but is still 'bound' to 25565, you won't be able to replace it with another server. Also if this doesn't work simply reboot your server and try again
What the representative said about DMZ is true BUT you'll have to set up DHCP Reservation in the Router first to avoid reconfiguring DMZ at every equipment reboot. Good luck setting up DHCP Reservation. I can't seem to get it working in R36 (but could about a month ago in R30 ).
