Nexus 7 download problems

Hi

Has anybody got a Nexus 7 and having problems downloading from the Google Play store since their Superhub was updated? (I keep getting "Package file is invalid" )

Reason I ask is that myself and my Mom & Dad have a Nexus 7 and the other day we were having problems downloading apps on both devices at my parents but my house was fine. Last night I started having problems at my house too.

I'm not sure if / when our Superhubs were updated, I'm on 30Mb and my parents are on 60Mb.

I have tried resetting to factory defaults and turning off the firewall but it made no difference.

I also tried putting my parents hub into modem mode and connected their old dlink router and the problem stopped but the connection keeps dropping 2-3 times a day.

I have also taken my Nexus 7 to work today and have had no problems downloading.

Any suggestions please?

TIA Rich

Re: Nexus 7 download problems

You are not alone. Although I can confirm it is any android device, not just the nexus 7. Android checks for corrupted files so the verification of the download is failing.

This seems to be as a result if the R36 firmware update of the super hub.

Search the community for "invalid file package" and you will find other threads with the same issue

This is affecting IOS as well since the R36 "degrade". Cannot update any iPhone apps on my phone or via iTunes using a cable.

That does seem to work. Now to try and see how I can get the PS3 to download large files again! Cheers!
