unable to connect to server because of wrong password!

hi

i am a newbe to this but i have set up a secondry virgin email account and have installed filezilla.

filezilla will not connect because it has the wrong password.

its not the wrong password but what i have noticed is that if i go to my virgin media using my secondary email address i have no option under apps for webspace.

is this because only primary accounts have access to the free webspace?

thanks

Hi slightlee

The secondary accounts are used to specify a webspace name.  My main account is a blueyonder account however I do have VM webspace.

When you access my.virginmedia.com from your main account it should give you access the the webspace app and I am assuming in your case it would then show that your webspace is allocated to a virginmedia.com space.

Make sure your username is correct if the account is webspacename@virginmedia.com then the username is simply webspacename

A test you could try is pointing your web browser to ftp://ftp.webspace.virginmedia.com and then entering the username/password combination into the box that pops up.  If this gives you access then double check your settings in filezilla.
