SUPPORT - VIRUS - infected virginmedia web space..

Support

It would appear that my VM web-space may have been compromised and infected with a little nasty exploit over the last couple of days.

if you could PM me ASAP I'll provide you with the email addy that's linked to the webspace and any other info that is required so that you can investigate and wipe if needed.

Regards

rob

Re: SUPPORT - VIRUS - infected virginmedia web space..

Hi Rob

I have the website address from your ip address. If you log into your My Virginmedia, go to my apps, Webspace, Access Webspace, you will have the option to reset the webspace, deleting everything that is currently on the site and resetting everything to default. You would then need to re-upload the site.

Even though I have the address I cannot pass it through to our security team as I would need to clear an account security check with you first.

If you are unable to clear the site using the method I have supplied above, and are genuinely concerned that there may be a virus there, then you would need to call in and speak to an advisor who can clear security and pass your details through to the second line team to delete the webspace.
Kind Regards,

Steve Brett

Re: SUPPORT - VIRUS - infected virginmedia web space..

i would have gone to apps etc.. but at that time this part of the plaform was down / being updated /whatever..

security finally contacted me and confirmed that my website was infected and that the VM web  platform is far from secure..

all sorted now.. until next time!!!

OK Thanks

Nice site by the way, I took particular care in checking all the "models" pages ;-)
