Not true. You have to have it for 30 days and then you can cancel immediately.

Re: what notice is required to cancel Sky Sports

From Virgins current T & C's section H.1: ....1. You may add to or reduce the services you receive from time to time by contacting our customer services team. If you ask us to provide any extra services to you, you agree to accept those additional services for at least the minimum period that applies to them. If you ask us to reduce your tier of services within the minimum period for those services, we may ask you to pay a fee depending on the services being reduced and the remaining length of the minimum period.... ...If you wish to reduce your tier of services or remove any additional services (including premium television channels) you must give us 30 days notice and pay any charges (including usage charges and line rental) up to the end of that 30-day notice period.. ... http://store.virginmedia.com/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services.html#chan...

That's what it says. There is no usage nor line rental associated, so no notice needed.

That's not what it says. The terms were changed earlier this year and everyone was notified in writing to say that any removal will apply 30 days after i.e. say today you want to remove Sky Sports and it would stop 30 days later.

However if Virgin Media currently choose to override this and do an immediate removal (after having it for a minimum of 30 days) then that's up to them.

That's not what it says. All changes require 30 days notice i.e. if you wish to remove Sky Sports it'll come off 30 days after you told Virgin Media you want to remove it.

The terms were changed earlier this year and everyone got notification of this is writing.

But it isn't what happened when I cancelled less than a month ago.  And there is another thread where a post from the forum team clearly states no notice is required.  Have you cancelled Sky Sports and experienced what happens?
