recording from Vigin+ box

I am about to exchange my virgin + box for TiVo but would like to keep some of the recordings. Does anyone know if I can do this by way of an external hard drive, or offer any other solutions?

Re: recording from Vigin+ box

You could have found this yourself in the VM help files.

I do not work for VM. The advice I give is based on my best understanding of VM policy and practice. You rely on it at your own risk.

Re: recording from Vigin+ box

This can be done via a SCART-connected DVD or hard disk recorder.

V+ has a function to allow you to do this in the background.

Thanks. I presume any TV hard drive can be used?

Yes, but it must have a Scart INPUT socket. Many modern PVR's no longer have this facility.
