£rd TV box removed from our account !!!

hi

hope someone can help/throw some light on our problem.

for past few years we have had 3 set top boxes on our account , 2 TiVo boxes and a basic non-recordable box (in daughters room). we were paying normal TiVo price for the two TiVo's  arounf £12 or so and an addituonal £1 (yes one pound) for the 3rd box.

everything was fine until my daughter came home from uni for the summer and we find that the 3rd box is no longer connecting to tv services.

on the phone someone is looking at the issue and they keep asking about boxes i had in 2008 and 2011 and if i want the 3rd box reactivated on my account it is now £6.50 a month instead of the £1 we were paying.

no explanation or apology as to why the 3rd box was removed only more questions about boxes in 2008 and 2011 and what we upograded to what and when.  
How or why is that relevant ??

feel free to ignore my rant, customer retention team managed to sort it out , just have to wait until 6th July for an engineer to bring a new box and install it. /sigh
