my aunty has been with virgin and telewest broadband since it installed in torquay, when virgin took over she was left with her old blueyonder equipment. spoke to customer service who have agreed to replace box at no charge but she has received a bill for £49.99 although told that £40.00 will be refunded. she has also previously been charged £20.00 for a modem which she did not need but the person was persistant and she reluctantly agreed the modem she had was only a month or so old but she keep getting dropouts, now i thought the equipment was owned by virgin?
Yes that's right the equipment is owned by Virgin, there are normality installation charges however but it should be a one off payment and then you would be charged monthly for the service itself. Does she still want the modem and is she currently experiencing issues with her broadband service?
