new box

My V box has broke and I have inserted the card into a new box. It seems this SmartCard is invalid (Ref 3009)'. I also don't have all the channels that I pay for.
Please help. Thank you

where did you get the replacement box from?
Was it from Virgin or did you buy it from somewhere like ebay?

if it was a box that was inactive and never returned to virgin it will of been deactivated. you should call VM and report the broken box and they will send a engineer out to replace it.

Its has been plugged in and been used in another room.

The card & box are paired on your account, so you cant put the card from one box into another. If the spare box has a card, then that card will only work with that box. The boxes are rented, so there is no charge to replace a faulty box, if indeed the problem is the box in the first place & not a network wiring issue.
