(n27)

hi guys 

my  tivo box keeps saying the ethernet cable is unplugged (27)

i never used a cable to watch tv before and i even tried now whit a cable to see if works but still

i have internet on laptop and everything

any help???

Where is it telling you?

Having an Ethernet cable connected (as you've discovered), isn't a pre-requisite.
