invalid smart card

Lounge rejig and redecoration has given me an invalid smart card. Can I get it reset please??

You can get it sorted here when a member of the Forum Team picks up on your topic, but it'd be quicker to call into 150 and report a TV fault. Or report it via the Contact Us page from a desktop or laptop device: http://contact.virginmedia.com/ -> TV -> loss of service. Then click Chat Online.

I'll be happy to help get this error fixed for you.  Can you please confirm if your box is currently turned on?  When I try to connect it is showing as 'offline'.
