Re: i want to have my tv some distance from installation cables, how do I do it?

Since when has a TiVO box delivered content via Ethernet?

I think not.

A long HDMI cable would be needed to view the channels & recordings.

If the TV has SMART features the OP wishes to use, then either a Powerline system or an Ethernet cable are needed to connect to VM's superhub.

Re: i want to have my tv some distance from installation cables, how do I do it?

TiVo does have an Ethernet port, yes. However this is only used for either using the remote control apps, or viewing recorded content on another TiVo in the house.

In order to watch anything the TiVo needs the coax cable to connect it to VM's network, and these cables don't take too kindly to changes in length. So in order to facilitate moving the location of the TV, the TiVo itself either needs to be moved at a cost of £99, or the OP will require a long HDMI lead to connect the box in its current location to the relocated TV.

It might be advisable for the OP, if it is possible, to unmark the "Helpful Answer" above as it contains misleading information.

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).
