clarification on price increase

Had been reading on other threads here that with the premium channels the only ones getting the price increase, as they were included in the one package I signed for does this affect the whole package. Or would I be penalised if I cancelled others in my package while still in contact ? Thank you

Re: clarification on price increase

You can cancel sports and movies without penalty but not the main services if you are in contract

Which is totally wrong - what sort of superuser are you if you don't even know the right info? Let alone not even read the question? are you copy and pasting your answers!?

Paul,

If you are in a contract and the services form part of the bundle then you are not affected by the price rise. VM say at the bottom of the letter at the back that if you are on a promotional offer they will honour it.

I called retentions earlier and was advised this which I would tend to believe is the actual right answer (the above only applies to people who added it on, in which case it's a 30 day minimum term anyway so just cancel)

Re: clarification on price increase

You can cancel any of the services according to ofcom

General Condition (“GC”) 9.6 says:
“The Communications Provider shall:
a)
give its Subscribers adequate notice not shorter than one mo
nth of any
modifications likely to be of material detriment to that Subscriber;
b)
allow its Subscribers to withdraw from their contract without penalty upon
such notice; and
c)
at the same time as giving the notice in condition 9.6 (a) above, shall inform
the
Subscriber of its ability to terminate the contract without penalty if the
proposed modification is not acceptable to the Subscriber.”
