Hi Junglebob62,

Its true, you can! That is exactly what i did, even though I was still in contract.

If you're unhappy with the price rise, Ofcom say that it is completely within your rights to cancel, and you've got 30 days in which to cancel your contract.

That's leaving 30 days after receiving a notification of the increase from Virgin, and there should be no penalty to do so.

Don't let VM tell you otherwise, it is in their terms and conditions. So dont let them fob you off. Quote the price increase as your reason for leaving, and ensure that you won't get penalised for doing so. Then get a confirmation date for when the final payment will be taken.

There is more info on the Ofcom website.
