Why is it that M+ TV has less of the channels than SKY basic for example no FOX plus no BBC HD

Why is it that M+ TV has less of the channels than SKY basic for example no FOX plus no BBC HD, and yet claims to be the better choice, feel cheated since I joined a few months ago, broadband is great but phone useless too, seems the only thing going for Virgin is the Broadband. Anywhere TV wont' work on X Box I've found.

All VM's TV packs carry the BBC HD channels, if you have a box capable of receiving them.

Sky is an open platform, so the free channels included do a deal direct with the Satellite operator, & apart from obtaining an EPG listing, have nothing to do with Sky.

Sky also has double the amount of TV customers that Virgin has. They have a potential 98% population coverage compared to VM's 45% of homes passed, so have more "clout" in getting channel deals. VM v Sky will never be a level playing field on cost grounds.

Also Fox and Fox+1 in SD are now both in M+. Fox HD remains in TV XL

Virgin calls cost more than SKY or BT plus it is only weekend calls in the basic unlike SKY which has weekend and evening calls and only £5 for all inclusive calls.

We only get BBC 1 and 2 N Ireland HD where as on Sky we got the stand alone BBC HD which was handy when you did not want to watch the BBC N Ireland useless local shows.

BBC HD closed in March 2013, when it was replaced by BBC 2 HD.

You also have BBC 3, 4, CBBC, CBeebies & News in HD. Also ITV1 HD, Channel 4HD, Channel 5HD & Film 4HD on the M+ package

Sky Line Rental £17.40 per month. Virgin Line Rental £16.99 (+ a substantial discount on any bundled Broadband).

Sky Line Rental saver discontinued. Virgin Line Rental saver £164 a year (equivalent to £13.66 a month).

Some you win,some you lose.
