We have been Virgin customers for several years now and have been advised by letter that our bill will be going up by £3.49 a month from 1st November. This has prompted us to review our TV, phone and broadband service. We have decided that we don't use the TIVO box as much as we had originally anticipated. Please can you therefore recommend some suitable packages for broadband and phone only (ie landline not mobile). We have weekend and evening calls only, and 50mb broadband and would like to keep these unchanged.

Call 150 during office hours. Broadband + phone would be £21 + £19 line rental and the evening/weekend calls an extra £5/month (NOTE: Anytime calls is just £8/month, so not much extra especially if you do have to call during the day). But if you call 150 and get to the thinking of leaving us people they may give you a discretionary loyalty discount and take the price down a bit more.
