Virgin signal continually interrupted

We have 3 set top boxes in various rooms of the house. All day on Saturday all the TVs were affected in that the picture kept breaking up and the sound was interrupted every minute or so.  Very frustrating if you are trying to watch something. Yesterday it was fine so I assumed that whatever the problem was had been fixed but today it is back, maybe not quite so frequently but every few minutes.  It must be something to do with the Virgin signal coming through the cable, mustn't it? Is anyone else having issues with this?
