Virgin Tv via CAT5 Cable

Hi,

Just trying to work out if it's possible to pass the Virgin tv signal via a CAT5 cable which runs from my lounge through to our kitchen, where I want to connect the virgin TiVo box? I've had a look at these converters, do you think they would do the trick?

I don't think so.

You would be better taking the HDMI output Via CAT5e or CAT6 or getting VM to re-site the box.

To be fair i would not even bother. You might even end up having problems using them.

I personally would just ring VM up and state you need to move the coax cable or simply get a splitter and get more coax cable and run that into the kitchen.

Re: Virgin Tv via CAT5 Cable

Thanks for the response, when you say coax cable, could i run the virgin tv signal via a standard coax aerial cable? I have one of these linked through to the spot where I want to connect the TiVo box. If so do you know what connectors I would need for this?
