V+ switching itself off

Been away for a short break, therefore tv has been off for 4 days. v+ didn`t boot up when switched on about 90 minutes ago. pulled plug out and reconnected it and v+ re-booted eventually and worked for about 30 minutes or so, then switched itself off. Held the on/off button down on the box briefly and it booted up again, before switching itself off once more.

Tried the on/off button again and it rebooted once more and lasted about 20 minutes before switching off again.

 

Is about to die completely?

Looks like you have a failing hard disk. Time to ring up & get it replaced.

Looks like you have a failing hard disk. Time to ring up & get it replaced.

I'm sorry to hear about the V+ not performing as it should. I hope that the engineer visit will be able to sort this for you.

Engineer was here a short while ago and replaced the v+ box. Everything fine now Smiley Happy

Hi

how do I get my box checked? on line thing doesn't work, says tried 3 times & one did once!!!

Last month followed some on line instructions & seemed to be sorted but last 2 days have been a joke, 4 times in one 30mins programme!!

Thank you for coming to the Community, I can see it's the first time for you so welcome in Smiley Very Happy

 

I'm sorry to hear about the V+ switching itself off. This is certainly strange behaviour and I've had a little look into the box itself. I found that the Hard drive isn't working as well as it should and would need to be looked at. Also anything out of the ordinary from the box can be looked at by an engineer.
