V+ smartcard invalid

Hi just tried to watch TV on my v+ box it says the smartcard is invalid
I don't watch TV very much on this box so it's left on standby then every time I have to call up to fix it
Why is this?

The smartcard invalid message issue should only occur if the box is switched off at the back or unplugged for long periods. If it is left in standby (red standby light showing on the front of the Samsung boxes) then there may be other issues causing this.

Hi sithmaster,

 

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear your Smartcard is showing as invalid on your V+ box.

 

I've managed to locate your account to run some tests. I've sent the relevant signals down to the line to see if this will update the card for you. I can see these haven't been sent for a while.

 

I'd like you to now restart the box. Has this resolved the error?
