V+ box not showing all my channels!!!!!!!! ERROR 3043!!!!!!!!

My Tivo box downstairs is fine but my v+ box upstairs is only showing a couple of channels. Ive tried all the obvious this is really frustrating.

Don't tell me. You've had the box turned off at the mains for a while, & now you've got the old "smartcard invalid" error.

 

A quick search of the forum would have given you the answer, but here goes anyway.

 

The boxes have to keep in touch with the server at Virgin once a week or so to remain active on the system. Best practice is to leave them in standby 24/7.

 

To re-activate the card you will need to contact customer services (150 form any Virgin phone, or 0345 454 1111 from others), or you can wait here & Virgins Forum Team can sort it, albeit with several days delay.

 

If you must switch off at the mains, its a good idea to leave the box on (in standby) overnight once a week, & the situation shouldn't happen again.

In that case, I shall carry out further checks for you.  I have contacted your box remotely and sent an update to help restore the service.  Can you please power off/on the box once more and let me know if your channels have now returned after the reboot has completed?
