My Tivo box will not start up, screen says starting up and I have a blue and red flashing light.
I have turned it off and on about 10 times and unplugged it completely for a couple of hours.
Any ideas? or do I need an engineer?

I can see you've already been able to arrange for an engineer to come and take a closer look, which is excellent news.
