The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

When will there be a patch so users of Android 6 can watch live streaming programmes on their devices?

I know there's only a relatively small number of devices using this OS at the moment despite it being out for over a year, but surely, this problem has been going on for far too long and can only get worse as more devices port to 6.

At the very least, Virgin Media should be able, by this time, to give a realistic timeframe as to when we can expect a resolution.

Re: The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

I'm pinning my hopes on the fact they are launching the V6 on Nov 30th.
I know the app is unrelated in part but surely they have to have all the 'package' working properly for then.
I am on Android 7 so the fact that 6 is not working properly yet does not give me much hope for my version.

Re: The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

Hi, Josh,

Thanks for replying.

Can you at least explain what the issue is? Is it actually being addressed by anyone there? This has been going on for a long time and it really IS inconvenient.

Regards,

Phil

Re: The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

Hi again,

Okay, so for now, can you tell me if I can have one device (tablet) for Sky Sports and Sky Cinema and another for TV Anywhere at the same time, please?

Cheers,

Phil.

Re: The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

I am on Android 7.0 on my Nexus 6P and on Monday that updated with a new app and now it works perfectly.
Can't speak for 6.0 but I would have thought if it works for 7 then should work for 6

Re: The ongoing Android 6 and TV Anywhere saga...

I have just recently updated my Sony Xperia M5 to Android Marshmallow 6.0, and the TV Anywhere app updated this week too. The new app is working perfectly and I can stream all channels that are available and watch live tv.
