We have been getting some sound problems on TiVo. It can come on quite suddenly, the sound is distorted and echoey and it lasts about 10 seconds. Lip sync has also been off, sometimes more, sometimes less. Rebooting the box seems to help for a while but the problem comes back. We have recently started using the Netflix app and these problems seem to have started since then, however I can't see how they could be connected so maybe it's just a coincidence. We have not made any changes or changed cables to the TiVo box recently.
I've run diagnostics on your equipment and I can see an issue with the signal that is likely causing the issue with the sound. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange for a technician to investigate.
