Sound problems and lip sync

We have been getting some sound problems on TiVo. It can come on quite suddenly, the sound is distorted and echoey and it lasts about 10 seconds. Lip sync has also been off, sometimes more, sometimes less. Rebooting the box seems to help for a while but the problem comes back. We have recently started using the Netflix app and these problems seem to have started since then, however I can't see how they could be connected so maybe it's just a coincidence. We have not made any changes or changed cables to the TiVo box recently.

I'm really sorry, my mistake! I looked at the wrong date on a previous appointment you've had earlier in the year!

 

Do you use any 3rd party equipment such as a surround sound?

No we don't. Nothing has changed except we started using the Netflix channel/app on TiVo and the sound issue seems to have started round about the same time.

I've run diagnostics on your equipment and I can see an issue with the signal that is likely causing the issue with the sound. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange for a technician to investigate.
