Snail TiVo Box since July

Anyone else had a very slow TiVo box for the past month?

Even deleting recordings can take up to 20 secs. Waiting for My Shows can take even longer.

I get the C501 randomly.

Yes, I have deleted all suggestions and preferences for thumbs up.

I am only at 38% capacity and have manually deleted all old recordings that were previously deleted just to clear the drive.

What really winds me up are the facile notices in the banner which ask "notice anything different with your TiVo?"

YES!!!  Latest software changes appear not properly tested before roll-out.

Hi,

Checking out all the other comments about how ridiculously sluggish the TiVo is, will not help you. Neither will the VM team. The Virgin TiVo user interface is badly designed and poorly programmed.

The recent update to the interface has made it even worse, which is unbelievable.

There's a price increase coming up, have you had the email/letter? Because of the increase, you can leave VM without penalty, without seeing out your contract.

People finally have a means to escape without incurring any penalties.

I very much doubt the issue has been resolved. The usual routine of rebooting, deleting and pressing buttons on the remote are mere temporary fixes.

oh dear. I've had very good service and no problems with my Tivo box ever.  I do want to cancel  the tv package though
