When attempting to select an option the TV hangs and power has to be switched on and off at the mains to get things working again. Believe this has only been a problem since the recent channel number changes.

I'm very sorry to hear about the TV and the red button, I've been looking into the TiVo and I can see some signal issues that need addressing, and may be attributing to your issues in the home.
