Sky Cancellation

Hi,

 

I've just set up my virgin media account moving from Sky. Virgin said they would cancel and pay up my sky account but i havent had confirmation that this is happened, and have had to pay the last bill. This on top of the initial two month payment i need to make to virgin is going to make this a bad month.

 

Could you please advise

AFAIK the only thing any supplier can do for a customer is cancel a landline to allow porting of the number.

What right does Virgin Media have to cancel your account with Sky?

I dont know what right you have, but your Sales Advisor said it would be done when trying to win back my business which they did on this basis along with extras.

I'm a little concerned now that you have got me back as a customer under false pretences.

I have heard of Sky "paying off" early disconnection fees for customers leaving rival providers, but I'm not aware of Virgin using this practice.
