We have just set up a new V+ Box and cannot get a picture to fit our tv screen, or if it does it is distorted - having tried all our tv's 'aspect' options.
There was no similar problem with the previous V+ Box this one has replaced; nor is there a similar problem with the picture received via an ordinary arial.
Any suggestions for sorting this please?

What connection are you using (HDMI / Scart)?
Also, if you let us know the TV model we can try to help.

It is a scart connection, and the tv model is a Panasonic 'Vierra' model TX-L32DT30B model
Why are you using a scart connection when that model of TV has an HDMI input?
Get an HDMI lead and use that instead
It's likely to be a Scart issue. As dannylau says, use HDMI and let the V+ talk to your TV to get the best picture.
No HDMI cable was included so am using the Scart until it comes.
We do route it through a VCR/DVD player at the moment so I wonder if that is affecting it [although no different than before]
Hopefully when the HDMI cable arrives it will be sorted.
Thanks - will get an HDMI cable!
