Random stutter and sync problem - Virgin Box

Hi,

We are currently having some problems with the audio/video randomly going out of sync. What happens is there is a short stutter with a click/pop type noise and then from that moment on the audio is not in sync with the video any longer i.e the voices dont match up with the lips. Putting the box into standby for a second and then switching back on again brings the sync back to normal. It seems to be completely random. Sometimes it can go for a few hours but then other times it can do it quite a few times in just an hour. Have tested the TV without the Virgin box powered up via the built in freeview on the TV and all is fine. Have additionally changed the HDMI cable over to new more expensive cable but the problem still occurs. Have also tried changing the virgin box settings to lower i.e from 1080 to 720 and the audio both stereo and dolby but same thing still happens sadly.

Can someone check if there are any problems on that end of things please. Wondering if maybe the strength of the signal has weakened recently etc. The issue has been happening for around 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your service.

 

I've run some checks on your equipment and I can see some issues with the signal coming into the VHD Box.
