Problens in Glasgow G33

Yesterday, at 9am, my broadband went down. I phoned and booked an engineer, but they can't come until Thursday.

This evening, my tv service also went down - the tivo box is stuck at "starting up".

When we phoned, we were told that this was cable problem in our local area affecting both tv and broadband. Yet, when I check the service status online, there is no mention of this problem.

We were told on the phone that this would be fixed "by midnight". Can someone confirm that that is the case, or are we being spun a line to get us off the phone?

Phoned again last night, and was told that it wasn't a local problem - it was something to do with the equipment inside our house (despite being told earlier that they had had six similar calls from our area).  Telephone support is a total farce.

Internet came back on last night, but went down around six this morning.

Engineer still coming on Thursday,

And the problems continue.

Despite being advised today that the local tv problems have been resolved, we now have pixelation on all channels we've tried so far.

Despite the broadband coming back overnight, we've had no connection available since six this morning. Hopefully the engineer who comes on Thursday can resolve both problems.

Then engineer arrived promptly yesterday.  The problem turned out to be a failing booster, which he replaced.
