Ordered sky cinema. Hasn't arrived and we're past the promised 48 hours

I ordered Sky Cinema via half price promo campaign email.  Got the automated email reply "Thanks for signing up. ... We'll be upgrading your Virgin TV service within the next 48 hours".

Since then 48 hours passed and ... nothing happened, channels aren't on my package, and received no further communications.  Is this normal?  Anyone else had problems?

The reply system is automated. The upgrade process is manual & has usually done by call centre staff in the UK, who have all finished for Christmas now. You may be able to get through to offshore call centres on Monday (Boxing Day) to get this pushed through, but there is no call centre cover tomorrow.
