I have been experiencing trouble with On Demand for many months. (I have a TIVO box and 200mb conection) It usually occurs with High Definition Content. If I purchase a film it regularly stops , every 5-10 minutes and gives me a message stating ‘On Demand in temporarily unavailable’. I also receive the ‘On Demand is temporarily unavailable’ before I have even started the film. This happens on both the free and paid content – but only the HD content.
It has been happening for the past 5 months but tech support give me the following info
Sorry , we are looking into it and it will be fixed very shortly (5 months ago)
There is a known problem with On Demand and it will take a few weeks to fix ( I rang 10 minutes later and they said no On Demand is fine there is no problem with it !!
The film you are trying to watch is popular and the issues is at the broadcast end !!
I know there is no problem with my bandwith – as last night I was so fed up with it I purchased the same film from AMAZON (it was 50pence cheaper so I will probably do that next time ) in High Definition and it played great.
Does anyone have similar issues or answers please?
