My virgin box is constantly updating

My box keeps updating over and over again and I can't watch anything

Apparently, it's a national problem that's been happening since this morning -It was supposed to be fixed by 5pm in my area (London NW)  and it's now 9pm!!

 

Marvellous!!

 

Could you imagine if this was the case with the national electricity grid going down!!
