Moving boxes

Hello looking for a bit of help and advice

We have two boxes.  downstairs we have a old Scientific Atlanta box which Virgin are swapping for a new Tivo box

upstairs we have a Samsung box which virgin will not swap

I would like the Tivo box upstairs can i swap the boxes over now and then swap the SA box for the Tivo when i get it?

Many Thanks

Re: Moving boxes

There should be no problems swapping the locations of the boxes. Each should work perfectly well in the other location.

A couple of things to note:

TiVO boxes do not use viewing cards now, so the viewing card in the SA V+ can be disposed of with the box. The Samsung must retain its own viewing card.

If there are any attenuators fitted (a resistor attached to the end of the white cable where it enters the box), these must stay in their current locations & not move with the boxes.

Just to mention that there will be far more services & a few more channels available on the TiVO than you have on the V+ boxes, so you may find yourself swapping them back again after a while.
