Have not had any TV or Broadband service since yesterday evening. Status said it would be repaired by 3am. Still down and status now says 4pm today. Not only have we been unable to view any TV during this prime period but also all of the tivo recordings we had set up have failed. Thanks for making us have a traditional family Xmas with games and music!
The TiVO's recording tuners use the same linear channels as the one you watch, so your recordings will fail. No doubt networks have now identified the fault, which would have been the first time you saw. Engineers now have to obtain spares. Also some jobs require a team of engineers, so jobs do get pushed out to several hours.
