If Virgin media is capable of cropping TV packages

If Virgin media is capable of cropping TV packages then why can it not remove all BBC programming from my package

Or are they frightened of stepping on another company's toes ?

Re: If Virgin media is capable of cropping TV packages

I believe their is a legal requirement for all suppliers to provide BBC channels.

The requirement extends to all the public service broadcasters.

Virgin media is on its own I assume the same as the BBC they are both just corporations so how can one corporation dictate to another

Re: Can someone respond

Given the tone of this post some explanation is required. First of all this is a community forum where users help users. It's a weekend and VM staff are around but are few and far between.  Your language here is less than appropriate for such a Forum.

Secondly, you have had two replies within quick succession and very quickly after your initial post.  Read your own thread.

Nothing to do with the BBC not letting VM opt out. Under OFCOM rules, the BBC is a "must provide" service on ALL TV platforms, & this is enshrined in government legislation, so its actually against the law not to carry the channels on all TV packs. The law also states that if you are a VM TV customer you must have a TV licence. They have to stop your service if you dont.
