FTA channels when subscribing to broadband only

Hi,

I have broadband only package and TV with freeview/freesat. I am not watching tv much, so not really interested in paid service. I connected indoor freeview antena and 0 channels found. I bought signal booster and the sam - no results found during setup.

Before I start amending my cable runs, I wanted to check if I connect Virgin cable to TV will I receive any signal? If so, what channels?

Technically it wouldn't work anyway as your TV has tuners that understand the broadcast protocols for Freeview and Freesat (DVB-T and DVB-S). Cable TV delivers DVB-C protocol, hence why you need a cable set top box, such as TiVo or V6.

It's against your Virgin Media Ts&Cs to connect your TV directly to the cable.

All Virgin Media TV must be delivered through a Virgin Media supplied set top box.
