I've been looking to join Virgin and I keep getting told different things. The blokes on the high street have said we are under construction and expect it to be 2 weeks. I look on the website and it says services are available now. I speak to them on phone and they say 8 weeks time. Does anyone know what is going on! Almost puts me of signing up.

When checking via the website, it will double check to see if the postcode itself has cables laid to connect you. When you speak to the team, they look at things on a property basis. The cables may be laid on the street but the actual home may need some extra work to get you connected.
If the sales team are advising an 8 week wait then it's likely some construction work is going on.
